The table is often the centre point of the kitchen, and life as I know it has always focused around this one piece of furniture.
 

 

This refectory table gives the impression of an old friend. I worked on lots of 'wear' and it's a really comfortable piece of furniture.

 

 

 

 

Like the table above, just wooden pegs and tongues hold them together. This table is sharper in execution, highlighting the construction with exaggerated pegs and contrasting wood for the tongues.

 

 

 

 

The benches provide additional storgae with adjustable back suppports. For the floor, I used random boards and square cut nails, a truly traditional floor which contrasts with the contemporary table and benches.
